Top 20 of 2011
This has been one heck of a year. These are in no order and are not good nor bad, just significant or memorable. A bit later than I wanted to post it, but its at least before January is over.
1. Discovering nature again, everywhere.
2. Scott.
3. Yoga.
4. Giving it a go, trying to just do acting and freelance for work.

If We Must Die by Claude McKay
If we must die, let it not be like hogs Hunted and penned in an inglorious spot, While round us bark the mad and hungry dogs, Making their mock at our accursed lot. If we must die, O let us nobly die, So that our precious blood may not be shed In vain; then even the monsters we defy Shall be constrained to honor us though dead! O kinsmen we must meet the common foe! Though far outnumbered...

I can’t wait till every week is like this: was placed in the most scenes in acting class, attended 2 plays, 3 auditions, and was on national television. If I had an actual paying job this week too that would have been the icing on the cake. I’m feeling very good.

The distance between the audience and the characters was not distinct enough to be purposeful nor little enough to go unnoticed. The play Dead Man’s Cell Phone was a executed to the best the script would allow it. I am...

Theater is amazing #2
Another one of the amazing things about theater (and live performance in general) is that it can never be repeated. That moment of art is never to be seen again. No other art form but live performance has that unique quality. Appreciate the unique experience next time you see something live.

Theater is amazing #1
One of the most amazing things about theater, and acting and performance art in general is that it is an art form that requires two people. You must have the performer, and the viewer. There is no theater without two people at the least. A painting, writing, and photography is still art if no one ever sees the art besides the creator. Even dance can be art when completely alone. But acting? Nope....
I am woman, hear me roar...?
I am one hell of a woman. This is just a fact. I am smart, creative, have a look of my own. I am inspiring, and helpful, and full of love to give.
I know this.
Yet, it is amazing how often confident and amazing people forget this.
Myself included.
Simply astounding how we can forget how amazing each one of us are.
So I guess the point is. Go be a lion. I am a woman, hear me roar!
